Story

In today’s digital landscape, where data breaches and cyberattacks are ever-present threats, a groundbreaking solution is emerging to redefine how we protect our sensitive information. ZeroKeyUSB—a portable, offline password manager and hardware vault—now makes its market debut through Crowdsuply, a subsidiary of the globally renowned electronics distributor Mouser.

Originally developed as an award-winning undergraduate thesis at the University of Cádiz, ZeroKeyUSB was conceived to overcome the vulnerabilities associated with traditional online password managers. “I wanted a device that keeps your secrets completely offline, away from the risks posed by cloud-based storage,” says the creator.

ZeroKeyUSB securely stores up to 64 credentials encrypted with AES-128, employing a robust PIN-based authentication system complemented by signature verification. Its user-friendly interface features a crisp 128×32 OLED display and five capacitive touch buttons, enabling quick and frustration-free navigation. Moreover, the device is powered via USB-C, eliminating the need for batteries and ensuring universal compatibility with any USB HID device—from computers to smartphones.

Designed to endure the challenges of real-world use, ZeroKeyUSB boasts a rugged construction that is water-, dust-, and tamper-resistant. Its open-source nature, with schematics, firmware, and design files available under the MIT License, invites the global community to collaborate and innovate further.

Today, interested buyers and tech enthusiasts can explore detailed specifications, view images and demonstration videos, and place orders on Crowdsuply. This launch marks a significant milestone in hardware security, promising a secure, portable alternative for those who demand the highest level of data protection.
