DESCRIPTION
In the beginning.... The parts list is below and the video description on how it will work...
ROBOT LAWNMOWER PT1 - PARTS USED https://youtu.be/IaSaRRnZU8c
Here's a list of the major parts
- RGB sensor
- OLED display
- Lithium ion batteries
- Wheels
- Wood
- Motors
- Ultrasound sensors
- Arduino Mega Arduino Mega 2560
Attaching the wheels to the motors was tough going, here is how we got the basic chassis made and connected the wheels to the motors.
Once we had the chassis made, the motors fitted and the wheels on... it was time to take it for a test drive... We found that the batteries and motors were a little underpowered, so we decided to apply a little over-voltage to the drive motors.
We then needed to start fitting the electronics.
Testing was great fun... and when it finally cut grass! Whoop whoop! It took us a long time to get to this point...
Here is a technical video describing the building blocks of the lawnmower fo those that want a little more detail.
Thanks for looking, I hope its interesting and entertaining. We have many other projects uploaded to youtube and will soon be converting them over to a readable format for electromaker.io
Thanks electromaker.io for having an upload format that is easier and friendlier than your competitive sites!
