Judging
The judging panel will be ...
Criteria considered during the judging process will include but not be limited to:
-
Project innovativity / creativity -
- Have you discovered something new? Eureka! Then explain why it is new and what is groundbreaking about it.
- Are you improving an existing project or idea? Then tell us what makes your approach better than the existing one.
- Every problem can be solved in different ways. Why is your solution the most effective?
- Can your project be used in an application later on? Is it commercially viable? Is it encumbered with licenses or copyright?
- Project documentation - Show us step by step how you built your project from start to finish using hi-res images, screenshots, video, and text. Also, include the cost of everything so we can have an estimate of the overall cost of the project.
- Video - A video is worth a thousand words so we will look fondly on any video content that is embedded within the project page.
- BOM - list all of your components, apps and tools.
- Code – well structured, commented code (preferable posted in a GitHub repository) will score you more points.
- Block Diagrams – Clear diagrams showcasing how different parts of your project: Sensors, Motors, Displays, etc. work together will also score you points.
- Project completeness - Fully working and finished projects will be scored higher than incomplete projects.
