Nvidia's AGX Jetson Orin Is an AI Powerhouse
We've been aware of the Nvidia Jetson Orin since its release last November, but we hadn't seen one in action. At Embedded World 2022, we saw the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin paired with a custom base board performing multiple parallel inference tasks at high speed concurrently while supporting 4k output.
We spoke with Doruk Sönmez, an Intelligent Video Analytics Engineer and NVIDIA DLI Certified Instructor about the Orin at the demonstration stand on the conference floor.
As you'll hear in the video, this demonstration is only the start. If you were running the system headless with optimizations, it can support up to 30 streams at 1080p at 30fps. We also discussed the flexibility of different baseboard configurations for the Orin SoM, and potential use cases for the new system.
At $1999, it's by far the most expensive dev kit in the Jetson line, but it's also among the most powerful single-board computer solutions available currently.
