Electromaker of the Month - February 2022 winners!
The Electromaker of the Month, our rolling competition celebrating innovative and creative projects published on Electromaker, has its first three winners!
Iron Man Walkie-talkie (two-way Radio) For Texting W/ Lora
In first place, nabbing a whole host of Nordic Semiconductor development gear is kutluhan_aktar! This Iron Man-themed LoRa walkie-talkie uses cheap and simple-to-get components to create a from-scratch two-way messaging system!
Our judges were impressed with this implementation of Long Range Wi-Fi, which not only gives a great introduction to LoRa communication but has a great sense of aesthetics too! Congratulations Kutluhan! A box of Nordic goodies (and Electromaker Swag) will be on its way to you!
Monitoring your vitality on the go with BLE 5.0, AI & a bunch of cool sensors...
In second place and the first of our runners-up is Ankur, who created The B&nd, a prototype health-oriented wearable that uses an Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense to power an AI-driven sensor system.
It's a fantastic proof of concept that combines multiple sensor inputs and broadcasts them using Bluetooth 5.0 for monitoring, and to gather data for future classification.
A minimalistic RGB LED Lamp
Third place goes to Loopie, a hand-built RGB LED lamp from CodersCafeTech that uses the popular ATTiny85 to control Neopixels in a diffused plastic and wood enclosure.
Our judges loved the aesthetic of this build - polished but clearly still handmade - and the use of the ATTiny for a truly functional DIY project!
Both runners-up receive a whole host of Nordic Swag, and of course Electromaker swag too!
